Conditional sentences have two parts: the if-clause or condition and the main clause or result. The if-clause can be placed before or after the main clause. When the if-clause comes first we often use a comma. There are three types of conditionals. The first conditional or open conditional refers to situations that are true in the present or possible future actions.
